i am a girl who loves a bit of glitter and glam. since i like to keep my clothes pretty simple, a little flare here and there is a necessity! lately i have been on the look out for some awesome glittery shoes like these from Kate Spade, but since its something i cant wear everyday they’re a bit pricey (though, i feel like i may just have to pull the trigger soon!) until i do, maybe i should just try making my own like the good peeps at Honestly, WTF…

lately i have not been cooking. at all. i tend to use the same spices i grew up with for everything: cumin, paprika, garlic and parsley. I was feeling a bit been-there-done-that-y when i came across this delicious recipe. granted the picture is what brought me in, but it was the promise of how it would jazz up any and everything that got me to pay attention. do you have any amazing sauce recipes? share em with me and ill post them!

I have been obsessing over this jacket for a while. I know ill get a lot of use out of it, but sometimes its hard for me to drop like $400 on anything. I think my comfort zone is $300 all in. Just sayin’! if anyone sees a similar jacket during their travels, pretty please email me. its one of those things where i feel like if i have this everything will be okay. so, help a sista out!

in honor of Zara launching (FINALLY!!!) the ability to shop their clothes online-starting september 7-ive posted 3 of my favorite looks from their lookbook that i would wear to do one of my favorite things, watch live music…

a bit about me…i went to my first hardcore show when i was 13 and i firmly believe that event changed the course of my life forever. the energy and excitement of being in a room so close to a band i felt was speaking directly to me was something i have never gotten enough of. things have changed a bit since 1993. i no longer wear the uniform of steel toe docs or creepers with wifebeaters and jeans, but i still like to go to a show from time to time to keep it real and support the scene…

these days i find myself at hip hop shows more often than hardcore shows (since my husband is so directly connected to that scene) regardless of the type of music the feeling is the same, no one understands me like the people in this room.
